The Indian Institute of Welding is honoured to host the International Welding Congress 2014 of IIW (The International Institute of Welding) during April 9-11, 2014 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, the capital city of Incredible India!

Concurrently, "Weld India 2014 - in association with FABTECH"- the 8th International Welding Technology Exhibition will also be held during April 10-12, 2014 in Hall Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The theme of the Congress is "Advancement in Welding, Cutting & Surfacing Technologies for Improved Economy, Reliability & Sustainable Environment".

Around 120 contributory and Invited papers are scheduled to be presented during the congress, covering almost all the aspects of Welding such as Advances in Welding Fabrication Techniques / Processes; Welding Consumables; Welding Systems, Equipments, Robotics & Automation; Mathematical Modelling & Simulation of welds; Testing and Characterization of Welds; Quality Management & Reliability; Education, Training, Safety, Health and Environmental Impact in Welding.

Also, a special session on "Skill Development Initiatives in India" will be addressed by senior Government officials from organizations such as National Skill Development Agency, National Skill Development Council and DGE&T, etc.

This International Congress will also provide an excellent opportunity to related industry with a desire to expand their global presence.
